The unforgiving torment that is the final star to collect in Super Mario Galaxy 2 caused untold grief over three separate days.
"The Perfect Run" requires the player to navigate a series of challenges with (1) health - meaning one mistake and you are dead.
No checkpoints. Start again.
Upon completing the perfect run I collapsed on the floor in elation and relief. A blessing that has allowed me to relive the glorious moment, I happened to be testing some new video capture hardware when I made the perfect run.
It is one of my greatest video game achievements and definitely my greatest in terms of tenacity.
